What makes Recovery Derm Shield better than others on the market? Recovery Derm Shield is a lightweight, waterproof composite film bandage consisting of three layers: EVA film, matte PU film and glassine. The matte PU film, which is the part of the bandage that stays in place and protects the skin after tattooing, allows for optimal breathability and ductility compared to glossy film bandages. Recovery Derm Shield bandages are also latex-free.

This listing is for one roll of Recovery Aftercare Derm Shield bandages. The roll measures 10" wide x 8 yards long. We also offer this product in a 5.9" x 8 yard and 7.9" x 8 yard roll or in a box of 10 sheets of 5.9" x 7 .9".

Manual :

Gently clean and dry the tattoo and surrounding area, making sure there is no soap or residue on the skin. Using clean gloves, remove Derm Shield from the sterile pouch. Cut the Derm Shield to cover the tattooed area plus a 1-2 inch margin from the edge of the tattoo. Peel off the backing to expose the adhesive side and position the Derm Shield over the tattoo with the adhesive side facing the skin. Apply gently using light pressure, working from the center towards the edges to eliminate air bubbles. Do not stretch the Derm Shield during application.

The first application of Derm Shield should remain in place for 24 hours, depending on the level of exudation. It is normal for blood and fluid to accumulate under the bandage.

A second application can be used for several days, and a third application can be used if necessary. Gently clean and dry the area between applications. Do not wear any piece for more than a week.

Instructions for removal:

Gently peel off the Derm Shield by slowly pulling it from the edge towards itself. Do not pull the bandage upwards.
